There are a few bloggers out there who have claimed to use this thing to ship via air but I would get the pelican if air travel were an issue. Tenba saw my instagram post of the crushed case and asked if a dump-truck ran it over. Overall it's awesome, looks slick as hell and keeps that big machine nice and safe.
My second choice was the pelican, but honestly that thing weighs about 40 lbs on its own and it was probably overkill in my scenario - mostly local travel between Las Vegas, L.A., Phoenix, etc. I contacted lightware and found out that they have a 27 imac case in product development but it wasn't available as of my purchase date. I probably would have bought that instead, but I'm not positive. My confidence in the tenba was a little shattered when it showed up via UPS with one side of the case completely crushed. I had no intention of shipping this thing on an airplane but that really made me think twice about it. I sent it back to BH and they sent me a new one immediately.

It takes longer to unplug everything than it does to pack and zip it up.The inside pouch holds a keyboard securely (even the thicker old style with real keys, not the chicklet style). I wouldn't add other items that could fall out of the pouch and get bounced around by the airline, but I have put power strips, etc when I am putting in the back of my car and driving to location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent product and service The case is very sturdy, perfect for air travel. It does, however, add weight so shipping by parcel service (eg UPS) may not be economical (unless you choose ground).
Solid construction, high quality materials. The only limitation is the number of internal pockets. Mine came with one full pocket and an open bottom one - there were components like my super drive that I had to carry in another bag. I would recommend adding zipped pockets inside (there is plenty of room inside towards the back of the screen). Overall, extremely satisfied!
